Responsible for overall deli operation. Duties include; customer service; following and enforcing policies and procedures; controlling food costs and shortages; cash register operations; cash control; ordering and maintaining deli merchandise; preparation of food items; deli employee training and orientation; repair of deli equipment; and proper sanitation of deli area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1. Customer service.
2. Prepare deli items and cook heated items.
3. Effectively prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on shift tasks to be accomplished.
4. Security of all store assets. Control of cost inventories. Cash control on your shift.
5. New employee training and orientation.
6. Order and maintain deli merchandise.
7. Merchandising, to include receiving, pricing, stocking, displaying, and stock rotating.
8. Store maintenance to include basic repairs of deli equipment.
9. Kitchen and store safety.
10. Maintain highest quality standards in food preparation.
11. Follow sanitation procedures.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Additional experience should be in the area of supervision and food sales.
